Rhetorical Analysis of an Advertisement :: Advertising, Marketing

Rhetorical Analysis of an AdvertisementAdvertisements are all everywhere the place. Whether they are on TV, radio, or in a magazine, there is no instruction that you can escape them. They all realize their target audience who they have unique(predicate)ally designed the ad for. And of course they are shiting their product. This is a multi billion dollar industry and the advertisers study all the ship canal that they can attract the persons attention. One way that is used the most and is in some ways very controversial is use of sexual practice to sell products. For me to analyze this advertisement I used the rhetorical triangle, as well as ethos, pathos, and logos. The target audience is both males and females in their late teens to mid(prenominal) twenties. This company gets the male side of the equation by getting their attention and interest drawn to the attractive woman on the right with bright color in drawing your attention there as well as the bottle of whiskey which is right in the middle of the page. Then what gets these peoples attention to stay there is the fact they have an incredibly good watching female who is posing in next to nothing. Then a way that they try and get the females to look at the advertisement and read it is by introduceing a very plain girl who seems to be very typical of girls during their younger years. Then beside they show the same girl who now has become a women who is very attractive and just seems so much more powerful and sure of herself. One way that you can achieve that is if you drink Evan Williams Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. The purpose is to get young adults even ones that are chthonian age to drink their whiskey. One piece of specific information that is sent across to you is that the whiskey is aged for seven years before it is sold. The writers whole purpose of this advertisement is to try and sell Evan Williams Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The reason that I think that it advertises to people that are under age because the girl that is on the left in my opinion seems to be under age. Then they got that bottle of whisky which is in between each of the pictures. The author of this advertisement is all about sexual stereotypes such as blonde whisker blue eyes and a very large breast size.

Emma is a novel about youth through self-knowledge. Discuss. Essay

Emma is a novel about youth through self-knowledge. Discuss. The learning processes that argon experienced through youth often leadto greater self-knowledge. This image is readily demonstrated in JaneAustens Emma where the protagonist is set up as an esteemedindividual, living in the comfort and indulgence consequent of thelimitations of her rural society. It is only when Emma opens herselfto forward-looking experiences that she matures from one who lacks self-knowledgeto a fulfilment of self-knowledge. The various events that occurultimately dispute her viewpoint of the world she lives in. Emmasdealings with befriending and matchmaking Harriet and hermisinterpretation of clues given by Mr Elton and Frank Churchill argonevents which lead her to first lose confidence in her idea andwhich later propels her to greater self-knowledge. Mr Knightley is akey figure in her process of change, leading her to a greateracceptance of others viewpoints. At the beginning of Austens novel, Emma Woodhouse is established asthe central character of the novel who suffers from a lack of good belief and awareness of the world she lives in. Austen establishesthis idea through her opening sentence, conveying the idea that Emmais handsome, clever, and rich. The responder is given the impressionthat she thinks rather too well of herself as she has been mistressof his house from a very early period. We are told that she has beenspoiled and indulged by a most affectionate, indulgent father andgoverness whose shadow of authority being now long passed away. Thepraise that Emma receives from Mr Woodhouse, Mrs Weston and MrKnightley is warm quotation of her education and accomplishmentsbut is... ...tain self-knowledge.The various events that occur during the course of the novel developEmma into a rounded individual who possesses a wealth ofself-knowledge. This was not achieved without the aid of newexperiences that penetrated the stability in her life, largely throughthe limitations pr esented by Highbury society. Emmas overconfidencein her own judgement and her misinterpretation of clues given by MrElton and Frank Churchill, are important learning processes in Emmaseducation. With the good judgement of Mr Knightley and her own selfscrutiny, Emma is provided with the impetus to improve on her faults. Her growth to maturity and correct judgement ultimately leads to anattainment of greater self-knowledge. In balance, it can be seenthrough the character of Emma Woodhouse that Emma is blatantly anovel about youth through self-knowledge.

The Birth of the International Union of Elevator Constructors :: IUEC Construction Employment Essays

The Birth of the International Union of Elevator ConstructorsThe International Union of Elevator Constructors began inauspiciously on a hot summer twenty-four hours in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was July 15, 1901. Eleven men were gathered in a room at the Griswold Hotel. Brothers H. McLaughlin and E. Oliver came from New York, Brothers J.S. Holmes and John Lally from Chicago, F. W. Doyle from St. Louis, Walter McIntire and Frank F. Moxon from Boston, Brothers W. Young and J. Giberson from Philadelphia, and of course, Brothers George W. Porter and David G. Barnett from Pittsburgh. It did not take this small group long to come to an agreement. These men represented locals in their cities that, they decided, would benefit from a broader base of power and representation. There were other cities that had organise unions at this time but did not attend this meeting in Pittsburgh . At the meeting in the Griswold Hotel, John Lally was appointed as impermanent Secretary and was later el ected 1st worldwide Vice-President. Committees were make to draft rules of order, by-laws, and a constitution. The representatives worked through the night and presented their work collectively in the morning. Everything was adopted, and the unions framework was in place. By lunch, the officers of the new union had been nominated, elected, and installed. The introductory President of the fledgling national union was F.W. Doyle of St. Louis. Election results made H. McLaughlin 2nd Vice-President, D.G. Barnett 3rd General Vice-President, Joseph Giberson 4th General Vice-President, and Walter McIntire 5th General Vice-President. William Young was elected General Secretary Treasurer. They were unanimous in their resolve and solidarity. They knew what they wanted, and they created it together in record time. The same day, charters were applied for a $5 charter fee was paid and six locals suddenly had been transformed into a national trade union. Quickly, they made application for chart er and membership in the National Building Trades Council of the American Federation of Labor. It was a no nonsense beginning. The total expense of the convention was $13.90. After the collection of the charter fees, the newly formed National Union of Elevator Constructors went home with a treasury in the black of $16.10.It had taken just three days to form an organization which would uphold and protect the interests of thousands of elevator constructors across America then and now. The IUEC, like many of the building trades unions, came at the dawn of the modern technological revolution, which had as a first symbol, the skyscraper But there could be no skyscrapers without elevators.

The Search for Large Extra Dimensions using Dijet Production from pp Collisions at 1.8 TeV :: Physics Papers

The Search for Large Extra Dimensions using Dijet Production from pp Collisions at 1.8 TeVAbstract The look to for scanty dimensions has been a topic of great interest and has been investigated with a variety of methods and techniques of analysis.1,2,3,4 The existence of Large Extra Dimensions (LED) can be determined given that (at miaou or greater) temperance and its mediator, the graviton (spin 2), can access these extra dimensional manifolds. Atwood has developed a model using hadron colliders and the cross-sections for a 2 T 2 hadronic dijet process.2 We direct to use this model and to make a best fit as well as to establish bounds using Ms, the Planck energy subdue for when quantum gravity causes a noticeable change from the SM, and n, the number of compacted extra dimensions.IntroductionPopular string theories predict a 10 + 1 dimension space-time with the extra dimensions creating compacted manifolds. However, the size of these manifolds would be on the order of 10- 35 m, and the energy needed for experimental test is significantly far out of the range of even precise visionary future colliders. The model proposed by Arkani-Hamed, Dimopoulos, and Dvali (ADD) introduces the possibility for extra dimensions (ED) to exist in order to solve the hierarchy problem of the physics at two very different energy scales. The first scale is the current experimental scale where physics is dictated by the SM (Mew, the electro-weak scale), and the other scale is at the Planck scale (MPl).1 In addition, ED may also help explain losses in transverse momenta and monojet events.1,2,3,4.The strength of gravity is about 1037 times weaker than the weak atomic force. At some point on the energy scale, as most physics and especially Grand Unified Theories seem to indicate, all of the forces must be unified. This will certainly happen around the Planck energy scale (MPl 1017 GeV). Although the three strongest forces appear to be coming closer in relative strength wi th increase energy, an extrapolation of the coupling constants for these forces using the SM will not cross at the same point.5 However, supersymmetry and other related theories such as Technicolor, which have be smartly devised in part to solve this (7s) problem, seem to predict that they will cross together with additional physics beyond the SM.1,5On the other hand, if unification is to occur, at some point gravity must make a tremendous climb in strength to be unified with the other forces.

IntroductionPower unrestricted-service corporations are confronting legion menaces of security of operation due to the over stressed fountain web in the todays competitory spot market scenario. Phasor Measurement Unit ( PMU ) is an measuring device which is used to mensurate the current and electromotive force. It uses the Global Positioning System ( GPS ) pulsa tion to ease the synchronised measurings of genuine dress up phasors of currents and electromotive force. A world-beater system is said to be recognizable when electromotive force phasors at solely the coachs are known. Harmonizing to Ohms Law, if a PMU is placed at the coach, so the neighboring coachs besides become discernible. Obviously, when PMUs are placed at all the coachs of the web, and the measurings for all the PMUs are communicated to the fudge units, so the electromotive force phasors at all the coachs would be known. This labialize can alter the traditional appraisal to province measuring. PMUs are already installed in several public-service corporations for assorted applications around the universe such(prenominal) as province appraisal, adaptative protection and system protection strategies. PSO Based Cluster Formation For Optimal PMU PlacementPower system observability is indispensable for placing the existent clip monitoring and province appraisal of the system. PMUs enable advanced solutions to bing public-service corporation jobs and supply power system engineers a whole scope of possible benefitsAccurate appraisal of the power system province can be obtained at frequent intervals,Permiting dynamic phenomena to be observed from a main location and suited control actions are taken.Post perturbation analysis will be much improved for the PMU arrangement job, which is obtained with the precise images of the system states through GPS synchronism. This subdivision proposed a PSO base d Optimal PMU Placement in power systems. The aim of this method is to supply the optimum arrangement of PMUs, which can do the system discernible and to maximise the measurement redundancy of the system. Fig.1 shows the flow of the proposed method. Initially, the coach system is taken and each coach is considered as a node. Each node connectivity is updated in the binary tabular array. Here, we are sing the undermentioned three instancesWithout PMU LossWith PMU LossZero InjectionsA. Particle Swarm Optimization Based Cluster Formation for Optimal PMU PlacementPSO is an optimisation algorithm which facilitates a population based search process in which single are termed as atoms. Here, the PSO algorithm is used to constellate the coachs for optimum PMU arrangement. Each atom contains a PMU arrangement constellation for a power system. It represents that each atom is constructed by binary dimensions, such that each coach of the power system has a dimension which indicates the being of a PMU in that coach, it is equal to 1, otherwise 0.Algorithm 1 PSO based Cluster FormationInput signalConnectivity inside informations of the given coach system1 crap binary tabular array for the given coachs asForI = 1 to figure of coachForJ = 1 to figure of coachIfcoach ( I ) connect to bus ( J )Matrix element represent as 1ElseMatrix element represent as 0End IfEnd ForEnd For2 D= Sum ( degree Fahrenheit ( x ) )3 L = soap ( vitamin D )4 Calculate the coach connexion for LThursdaycoach and topographic point PMU on that coach5 Update the binary tabular array by extinguishing the coach from binary tabular array6 Initialize atoms7 Position of atoms = x and y organizing points of coach location.8 Speed = random ( figure of coachs )9 Check fittingness for given place by utilizing nonsubjective map.10 Minimum ( F_Position )1112 Position = Position + Velocity13ForK = 1 to loopIfPresent_fitness & A lt Last_fitnessUpdate fittingness valueEnd IfUpdate speed and place.End For14 Find upper limit ( fitness_value ) , mf = soap ( fittingness )15 Topographic point PMU on that coach.16 Update double star tabular array by extinguishing the coach from binary tabular array.17 Cringle to Step 6 until binary table gets empty.18Ifthe PMU placed at merely one coach,Check the nearest coach and made connexion between them and update bunch.19End IfThe proposed algorithm is applied on the three instances for optimum PMU arrangement.B. Case 1 Without PMU LossIn this instance, the zero injection and the flow measuring are ignored. To explicate the restraint set, the binary connectivity matric is formed whose entries are defined in the undermentioned equation( 1 )The matrix can be straight calculated from the coach entree matrix by change overing the entries in the binary signifier.See the six coach systemThe binary tabular array B is defined as( 2 )The restraints for this instance is,( 3 )From the binary tabular array, place the maximal connectivity among the coachs. The tabular array shows the maximal connectivity is occurred in coach 3. Hence, coach 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 are eliminated from the binary tabular array. Then, the binary tabular array can be updated as,( 4 )After executing the PSO based constellating algorithm, the PMU is placed on coach 1 and bus 3, which is shown in fig.3.C. Case 2 With loss of PMUIt is considered as each coach is discernible by individual PMU and these PMUs are placed by the proposed bunch algorithm. Hence, the arrangement of PMUs are extremely dependable but, if any perturbation occurred in power system or due to maintenance purpose any of the PMUs topographic points is out from the system. If any of the PMU is disconnected, so some of the coachs are connected to that PMUs are non remain discernible. In order to get the better of such unthought-of PMU failures, a scheme is considered for individual PMU loss. It can be achieved if all the coachs are observed by at least two PMUs. These are operated as two sets,Primary setBackup setI f suppose the PMU from primary set is non working decently, so the backup set will take the duty to detect the coachs. To obtain the twosome of PMUs, the restraint and nonsubjective map will stay same by merely modifying the alteration in matrix f. In this instance, the elements of degree Fahrenheit is equal to 2 alternatively of 1. It is defined as follows( 5 )This instance place the PMU for supervising the individual coach by two PMUs. Other than the nonsubjective map, the stairss are same. The new restraint map can be constructed as follows( 6 )D. Case 3 Zero InjectionZero injection coachs are the coachs from that no current is passed into the system. Zero injection correspond to the reassigning nodes in the system. If zero injection coachs are besides designed in the PMU arrangement job, the full figure of PMUs are farther minimized. See the undermentioned deterrent example for zero injection on six coach system where coach 2 is considered as the zero injection coach. Now, the r estraint for zero injection coach can be written as follows,( 7 )From the above equation, it is identified that the coach 3 has maximum connectivity. Hence, PMU is placed on the coach for full system observability.IV. Performance AnalysisTo measure the public presentation of the proposed method, the optimum arrangement of PMU job is solved for IEEE criterion coach system and KPTCL 220 and 400 kV power systems. The KPTCL power coachs are shown in fig.6. The consequences of the proposed method for IEEE coach system is illustrated in table 2. Here, IEEE-6 coach, IEEE-7 coach, IEEE-9 coach, IEEE-14 coach, and IEEE-30 coach system are considered for rating. Table 2 provides consequences for the three instances of IEEE coach systems. We collect the information from the KPTCL 220 and 400 kilovolt power system. Here, the PMU arrangement is obtained merely for the instance 1 ( without PMU loss ) . Hence, we proposed an algorithm to obtain the PMU arrangement, which suits for all the three ins tances ( with loss, without loss, zero injection coach ) . Table 3 provides the entire figure of PMU arrangement collected from the KPTCL. Whereas table 4 provides the proposed consequence for the given power system. The proposed method consequences for 28 coach, 127 coach and 155 coach system in all the three instances.V. Conclusion and Future WorkIn this paper, a PSO based bunch formation algorithm is proposed to work out the optimum PMU arrangement job.

Interpersonal Communication Essay

There are many shipway that my kitchen-gardening influences my self-concept. First lets take a sapidity at the many kinds of cultures there are. Culture is defined as the relatively specialized lifestyle of a group of people that is passed on from one coevals to the future(a) through discourse, not through genes. Culture is transmitted from one generation to another through enculturation, the process by which you keep an affectionateness on the culture into which youre born (your native culture). Parents, peer groups, schools, religious institutions, and government agencies are the main teachers of culture. Through enculturation you develop an ethnic identity, a commitment to the beliefs and philosophy of your culture that, not surprisingly, can act as a protective shield against discrimination. A different process of learning culture is acculturation, the process by which you learn the rules and norms of a culture different from your native culture. In acculturation your orig inal or native culture is modified through direct contact with or exposure to a new and different culture. Cultures, of course, differ in a wide variety of ways and for purposes of communication, the difference that probably comes to mind first is that of languages. Certainly, cultures do differ in language spoken and understood. Masculine cultures emphasize success and socialize their people to be assertive, ambitious and competitive. Members of masculine cultures are thus more than potential to confront conflicts promptly and to competitively fight out any differences they are more likely to emphasize win or lose strategies. womanly cultures emphasize the quality of life and socialize their people to be modest and to emphasize close inter personal relationships. Members of feminine cultures are thus more likely to emphasize compromise and negotiation in resolving conflicts they are more likely to seek win win solutions.Members of cultures with high ambiguity allowance account do not feel threatened by unknown situations uncertainty is normal part of life and people accept it as it comes. Members of cultures with low ambiguity tolerance do much to avoid uncertainty and have a great deal of anxiety by not knowing what will happen next they see uncertainty as threatening and as something that must be counteracted. In an individualist culture members are responsible for themselves and perhaps their immediate family. In a collectivist culture members are responsible for the entire group. In a high context culture much of the information in communication is in the context or in the person. In a low context culture most of the information is explicitly stated in the communicatory message. In my every day life I use more of the intercultural communication. Intercultural communication is communication between persons who have different cultural beliefs, values, or ways of behaving. Being that I am African-American and my fiance is Caucasian my culture changes my self-concept. Being a male you assume that thats the dominant one in a relationship or what not. I believe that being a male you should set the example for the household. Its not my way or the alley is the wrong approach. Its more of a compromise or we agree to disagree. I think that evinces masculine. I can say race plays a luck but I would be lying. That would go back to a stereotype. A stereotype is a fixed impression of a group of people. From the outside flavor in age would be a stereotype as well. Ive recently turned twenty-five so that plays into another stereotype. Half way to liter what are you doing with your life.Or the stereotype of a black guy with a white woman. You hear it all but its all about your self-concept. Im comfortable in my own skin. There were more important things of listening that I didnt realize. One purpose of listening is to learn, something you do regularly as you listen to lectures in college. One of the communication skills most important to he althy relationships is the great power to listen to friends, romantic partners, family members, colleagues, and just about anyone with whom you come into contact with. You as well listen to influence other peoples attitudes, beliefs, values, opinions and behaviors. Listening to play music or the rustle of leaves often serves a play purpose.Listening to swear out is something we experience growing up when our parents listen or, sometimes, dont listen to our concerns and helper us solve our problems. I used the five-stage model of listening as a reference guide. The barrier I sight I have is receiving the information. By receiving the information wrong I didnt understand what the other person was trying to get at. On the occasions when I used all five stages of listening correctly my strong points were evaluating and responding. Which comes back to having good intercultural communication. I noticed how other people listened as well. I think if people would follow the five step pr ocess to listening they would have no problem. There would be less confusion as well. Week 5 Journal I have witnessed stages of conflict in one of my relationships by being the one directly involved in the conflict and by being the mediator and actually sitting back and observing. I experienced verbal aggressiveness on a first hand basis. It tears a person atomic pile from the inside out. Ive experienced physical aggressiveness.Un like verbal aggressiveness this tears your down from the outside in. I show non verbal power just by the way I carry myself and display my athourity. Im not really sure how I would increase my personal powerits more a over time thing than changing it overnight. Nonverbal communication is communication without words. You communicate nonverbally when you gesture, pull a face or frown, widen your eyes, move your chair closer to someone, wear jewelry, touch someone, or raise your vocal volume, or even when you say nothing. The crucial candidate of nonverbal communication is that the message you send is in some way received by one or more other people. If you gesture musical composition alone in your room and no one is there to see you, then, most theorists would argue, communication has not taken place. The same, of course, is true of verbal messages If you recite a speech and no one hears it, then communication has not taken place.Body gestures are an especially useful classification in kinesics, or the accept of communication through body movement, identifies five types emblems, illustrators, affect displays, regulators, and adaptors. Illustrators make your communications more vivid and help to maintain your listeners attention. They also help to clarify and intensify your verbal messages. In saying, Lets go up, for example, you probably move your head and perhaps your finger in an upward direction. In describing a circle or a square, you more than likely make circular or square movements with your hands. Research points to anothe r advantage of illustrators that they increase your ability to remember.People who illustrated their verbal messages with gestures remembered some 20 percent more than those who didnt gesture. Affect displays are the movements of the face that convey emotional meaning are the expressions that show anger and fear, happiness and surprise, eagerness and fatigue. Regulators monitor, maintain, or control the speaking of another individual. When you listen to another, youre not passive you nod your head, purse your lips, adjust your eye focus, and make various paralinguistic sounds such as mm-mmor tsk.Regulators are culture-bound Each culture develops its own rules for the regulation of conversation.Adaptors suffer some need and usually fade without conscious awareness theyre unintentional movements that usually go unnoticed. Nonverbal researchers identify three types of adaptors based on their focus, direction, or target self-adaptors, alter-adaptors, and object-adaptors. Self- adaptor s usually satisfy a physical need, generally serving to make you more comfortable examples include scratching your head to relieve an itch, moistening your lips because they feel dry, or displace your hair out of your eyes.

Chris McCandless

McCandless precious to live an independent and self-reliant life. As a child, he grew up in a materialistic and dysfunctional family. Although he had a close relationship with his sister, Carine, Chris preferred isolating himself. It was unimaginably difficult for Chris to have a relationship with his father after he had found turn out about his fathers second family. Chriss mother, Billie, didnt have much of a relationship with him either. For Chris, being alone was linguistic rule and part of his very day routine. As he got older he wanted more and more to live on his own and be in the senile. Chris and his family would go to the mountains every year to visit which gave Chris this love for nature. He wanted to live in his own Utopia, in the wild. McCandless wasnt careless or delusional. He was determined, and focus on his task at hand to, in his own words, no longer be poisoned by civilization, and walk alone to be father lost in the wild. He met many people through-out his tra vels owards Alaska, simply didnt stay too long to become attached to them. On April 28, 1992, James Gallien gave Christopher McCandless a ride to the Stampede groom in Alaska where Christopher set out to begin in Journey into the wild. This was the last date that anyone ever saw Christopher McCandless alive. Walking into Denali National Park with a . 22 caliber rifle and a 10 pound bag of rice isnt necessarily ridiculous, that expecting to survive an entire summer off nothing but the land and wild game certainly is.Chris read many books by his favorite, Jack London being one. Jack wrote a book about the wild and the dangers of being in it, which is where Chris got approximately inspiration from. Chris carved the phrase Jack London is king in a tree stump near his campsite.. Chris constitution that phrase shows that his quest went farther than finding himself. Chris wanted a connection with nature. He did what he was striving for and although his ending was tragic, he still did it by himself and without anyone or anything.Chris McCandlessMishandles was not crazy, he wasnt stupid, and he defiantly was not looking for a way to die. Although some may esteem of them as selfish, he had his reasons for packing up his few belongings, leaving his family and walking Into the Wild. The death of Chris Mishandles was an accidental tragedy. Chris and his dad never heartyly got along (Source One. ) They were both stubborn making it impossible to agree on anything. They both always had to be right. Chris decided to be the bigger person though and stick to his mother and fathers plan for IM through college. He TLD complain and he eventide visited them occasionally throughout his college career. He loved his family, but he couldnt handle being around them anymore. He had kept all his anger and frustration build up inside of him and his only option was to leave. He never intended to hurt his family. He just needed some time away. Chris needed some time to cool off and f orget about his family troubles. Once he found out about his fathers marriage problems, forgetting about his family problems depended impossible. In Chrisms mind getting as far away room his dad and his family as possible was the best option. The only option. So thats what he did. He didnt mean to hurt his family or himself In any way. Some believe that Chrisms family problems had gotten the best of him and that he was ready to enjoin an end to his life. It is ignorant to think that because he went into the Alaskan wilderness completely alert for the amount of time that he planned on staying in that respect. Even though Source One never mentions Chris having a map, Source two says Counter to the personation in the Krause book and Penn film, ChrisMishandles carried Into the wild a wallet with multiple sources of Identification and $300 In cash. As well as a map. If Chris had Intended to die piece he was out there he wouldnt have taken the money, the ID, and especially not the m ap. Source One says that Chris went to the local Alaska university library to research edible plants and bacciferous that he could gather and eat. If he didnt plan on surviving then he wouldnt have been worried about eating. He took a gun and bullets with him too. He was well equipped to get food and seemed like he planned on surviving. In Chrisms Journal entries In wondrous he wrote that hothouse he had sodding(a) his goal to live In the Alaskan wilderness and thought It was time to go home. He walked all the way back to the river and couldnt cross because it was too wild. He wasnt all too concerned because he had enough knowledge and supplies to survived for a tour longer. If Chris had really wanted to die in Alaska he wouldnt have waited until August to do so. For living on the streets with no permanent home for so long, Mishandles was very good with people. He met lots of them before he went to Alaska and even met a ewe while he was there. Wayne Westerners, Jan Burros, Ron Fra nz were a few of the people he met during his travels (Source One. ) He was very easy to get along with and worked hard for them. They all loved him. He didnt seem like he had a problem with getting too attached to people because he always planes on coming back. He wrote to them and kept them updated and promised to come visit. He was very good forever. The Alaskan wilderness was a very dangerous frame to Just wonder into as Chris did and he found that out.He caused his family wicked worry and sorrow and would have been more observant and cautious when crossing the river. Realizing that it wouldnt be as calm in August as it was when he cover it. He make some mistakes, but then again, dont we all? Christopher Mishandles followed his dreams and not everybody gets the chance to do that. Source one says The peculiar thing is that he went out and did the things he dreamed about, not simply for a two-weeks vacation in the civilized and trimmed wonderlands, but for months and months in the midst of wonder.. And thats exactly what Mishandles did.Yes he died, and it as dangerous, but he died successful. He followed all his dreams and accomplished all his goals before he died, which is not something everyone can claim to have done. Chris Mishandles was an independent, stubborn individual who knew what he wanted and wasnt afraid to go get it. He made a few mistakes here and there (such as crossing the river and not knowing how to refreshed and cook the moose) but everybody makes mistakes. His Just happened to cost him his life. He didnt go into the wild hoping for death. He went searching for independence and thats exactly what he found.Chris McCandlessTo me Chris McCandless was a dedicated and undaunted young man. He was very dedicated to the thing he loved. When people told him what to do he very rarely listened to them, so to me he was very independent. When he was put to a job he was very dedicated to it, it didnt matter what it was. Like when he moved to the t own where Wayne Westerberg live he was put to work and all the people he worked with agreed that he was a very hard working person. When Chris decided to go into the wilderness to live, he wanted to start a new life he wants to find out who he is. Then again what his sister Carine said also seem very straightforward about Chris, Chris knew exactly who he was. He was searching for a place in this world that he fit into, where he could be current to himself. He didnt just want to think about the meaning of life, he actually wanted to live it for himself. He when traveling to find true happiness and beauty. That is the reason he did all what he did. I think Christopher McCandless went Into the Wild to discover what is summed up in his quote happiness is only real when shared, something I think he found out far too late. He went all that way to discover that something is only really worthy experiencing if you can share it with someone else. Before Chris died I do think he found what he was looking for. I think that he felt that there was truth out in the wild that there wasnt in his life at home. I think that he would have stay as long as he did if he didnt find what he was looking for. I think that he finally found a place where he belonged and place where he finally fit in. I totally agree with what Jon Krakauer statement when he says that Chris wasnt a nutcase, sociopath, or an outcast. I think he was a very upbeat and inspirational person.I love how he was and how he thought. I think it was very unique of him to think that live on his own in Alaska would help him find out who he was. I can compare myself to Chris in many ways like when he likes to be alone to think and when he can read his favorite authors books over and over again. With a wealthy and successful family he ditch virtually everything for a new life, it think that was very brave of him. He never had anything planed he just went with it. He never knows what life had waiting for him out there but Im pretty sure he could wait to find out. I dont think he was scared inanyway, I feel like he was more curious and excited then scared.Chris made a decision and many others on his two year pilgrimage to Alaska. He made these decisions with certain traits that he possesses, whether they were strengths that helped him or weaknesses that lead to his unfortunate death by starvation but I felt that they all made him out to be who he was. If only he would have brought more things with him on his journey, he could have been destine for many great things.
